Anyone have any experience with Wiremold 1500 overfloor steel raceway. I have a retail customer that needs to extend a receptacle circuit about 8 feet. It will cross a tiled floor which has some foot traffic. Is this acceptable or would it present a trip hazard? Also would it be ADA compliant?

I have used this only in places without foot traffic.

Under desks and work bench's etc.

If you put this on the floor where people walk IMO you will create a hazard.

Thanks
I agree, but I wanted the opinion of someone who has actually used it. [Linked Image]

I have a nice scar near my elbow where I brushed up against a section of wiremold that was not filed after being cut. I know it is a little off the subject but everytime I see wiremold I think of that.

I have used it in a architechs office. It ran under the desks and across a walkway to the wall. While it is very low profile and thin, I did not like the install across the walkway. I used it in a area where only 5 people walked across it each day so they got used to it, in a retail area, no way. The trip hazard could result in a law suit and maybe come back to you who installed it as being $$$ reponsible.
