Does anybody have schematics for a Westinghouse 75KVA 120/208 V 400HZ MG set or know where to get them. I have contacted CH service with no luck, although they are helping in tech support. (nice people)

The unit is probably 30 years old and was running on Thursday at 480 volts. It was moved to another state on Friday and reconnected on Saturday at 240V delta. (voltage was changed on motor and control transformer) Motor runs fine but cannot generate voltage.

There are some PC boards in the unit with one point connected directly to the #7 lead from motor. Obviously this has changed the voltage on this conductor but not sure what it does. (I think it has something to do with the DC excitation conversion)

Thanks

Roger

Do any of these links help you:
http://www.teco-wmc.com/contact.html
http://www.siemenswestinghouse.com/en/index.cfm

According to the WHOIS listing for westinghouse.com, the contact information is:

Westinghouse Electric Company
4350 Northern Pike
Monroeville, PA 15146

I don't know if they are the same Westinghouse folks you are trying to locate.

It could be that the generator lost residual magnetism and needs field flashing. Some sets have an automatic means for doing this on startup that may not be working properly.

Be very careful—400Hz circuits will give you a nasty poke.
