I was noticing what was on Backup, some of it didn't make much sense to me. My estimation was they had twice as many Hallway fixtures lit as they needed but no Bathroom lites? None in either the public or patient Bathrooms? Does that sound right?

My biggest fight in my new job is what they put on emergency gens. However, if your hallway lights are on it, that's good, that comes under the category of "egress lighting" and is required under NFPA 101 at minimum 1 watt per sq. foot.

BUT...... let's hear it, how'd you survive? Lotsa Ice? how hot was it? How long wuz ya out?

My baby boy should be here at anythime also. The wife is diliated 3cm and the doc told me not to make any plans this weekend. Congrats Bill.

It was really an ordeal for her with 39hrs of labor or therabouts. I had the easy part in the waiting room, although if I had thought about it more I would've brought a book or something. (No TV there )

I was going downstairs after a nice thick (pink) Roast Beef hero I'd seen earlier, but they said she was pushing at 1:00, so OK, I'll wait. Two hours later, still pushing ... decided to go down anyway. Only Tuna left. (That was the extent of my hardship)

The power didn't go out until after she delivered and we were waiting to go in and see them. It wasn't too bad there but did start getting warm later because the AC was out. All-in-all, not really too bad though. I think the city-dwellers had things much worse.

Glad the power stayed on till after the delivery, I am sure she would have been more uncomfortable without AC.

For anyone that has not been at a birth, the women goes through quite an ordeal.

I consider myself pretty tough and I would not want to trade places.

I was in on my children's births, but they went very quickly. The time element here caught us all by surprise. 10 minutes after the delivery the Father was still visibly shaken, I think he'd agree with you about not wanting to trade places.

Roger, My wife is looking over my shoulder and if you keep posting pictures like that my family may grow.

How can you not be touched by that photo?

It is a sleepover morning here at the iwire house so we have 4 girls under 5 here.

It is loud, messy and a lot of work,(wow that could describe the birth too) but we will do it again next Friday, the girls have such agreat time how could I say no.
