I'm wondering what screen resolution is most commonly used now. What size Monitor do you have?
Does anyone use 640 x 480 here?
800 x 600? something else?
Bill
I run my 19" CRT at 1280 X 1024.
Bill, what resolution do you use?
Curt
Curt,
I'm a bit behind the times as far as a Personal PC goes. I use 800 x 600 typically on a 15" Monitor right now.
I know that things can look very different at different resolutions. I was just looking at the forum here at 1280 today and it looked pretty small because it is set at 640 wide. I'm wondering if it's time to change at least to 800 wide.

1024 x 768 on a 17" Flat.
Bill,
I use 1024x 768 on a 15" monitor.
Well considering that all of my computer equipment is someone elses cast off's, (read my post in the welding thread about fixing things), I still am at 800x600 on a 15 inch. When someone throws away a more capable monitor, I'll be more than happy to turn it up

I am running 1024 X 768 on dual 17" monitors and 1400 X 1050 on my laptop
I use my notebook 800x640. The site looks good on that.
The site also looks good at 1000x?? on 17" monitors.
I'm partial to 1024 x 768 for everyday use on my 19". I tend to keep ECN in a "less than full screen window" that is effectively 800 x 600. I position the corners of other applications so they are a click away, or to monitor background activity. I'll kick things up to higher rez, on occasion, to increase the realestate around ECN's Explorer window.
1024 x 768 on a 17" monitor. My wife has the 19" monitor
1024x768 on 19" LCD and 800x600 on 17" CRT.

800 x 600 on 17" monitor, highest color resolution. Not sure what is at home.
Scott
1024x768 on a 17" and sometimes a 19" screen.
1024x768 here, too. [Sometimes I hafta' put on the drugstore reading glasses.]
800 x 600 on a 15" monitor. I'll switch down to 640 x 480 sometimes for pages that are a little hard to read on the smaller screen.
1024 X 768 on laptop. Get much smaller and I gotta go to the bi-focals
800x600 on this old monitor.
If/when I get this other monitor I have repaired, it will do larger, but I will probably stick to good old 800x600. My laptop goes to 800x600, so I'll
probably use that on it, if I install a
GUI based OS on it.
1024 x 768 on a 17"

It looks like I'm definitely out numbered here!
case — It could be you have better eyesight than the rest of us.
E-Scott,
If ya got Winders 98...
Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings.
Towards the bottom is your screen resolution.
Play with the different sizes, you may find one you like more!
"If ya got Winders 98..." LOL
Another vote for 1024x768, 17"

1024 X 768 on a 14" laptop screen.
1024x768 on 17" CRT. When I had 832x624 on 14" most of the pagelooked great, only some threads were wider than that and I had to scroll.
OT: I hateschoolcomputers. Onthis one the space key hardly works. Ugh!
Goollleee, Mr Virgil! I'm usin' 800X600 resolutions! Seriously I tried some other ones and now my eyeballs have been strained beyond repair.
Spare some change for a blind man?
Since I do computers for a living...
1600x1200 on my two machines.
work: 1280 x 1024 on 17"
home: 1280 x 1024 on 21"
