There is a home under construction, about 90% complete, where the POCO installed a xformer on the pole and then ran tri-plex down the pole and on top of the ground to the meter base. No physical protection of any kind. I don't know if they intend to bury it later as the time was getting late.No disconnect other than the xformer primary. The ground is extremely wet with standing water. Not too safe but typical POCO arrogance.

That's pretty bad, I have never seen the power companies in my area do somthing like this.

I know that NEC does not apply but what about OSHA?

Rowdy,
If I were you, I would be on the Hotline, to the POCo, concerned, this is not good at all.
I seems like the company sent their "Boy" out to do this one, or a team of losers. [Linked Image]
In one word "SLACK!".

They should abide to the NESC, and I'm sure this would be a violation, even in a temporary situation.
