Hi all,

Well, this time of year I'm busy bidding again. I'm looking for Excel spreadsheets (freeware) that you might have and be willing to share.

I did get one last year from WattDoctor, but I've lost the file. Doc if you would be so kind I'd like to look at that one again.

Anything that you have that helps your bid process.....I'm interested in hearing about it.

I'm also looking at one spreadsheet called Electrimate ($99). If anyone is using it, I'm interested what you think of it.

thanks,
GJ

Golf Junkie,

Try this out:
http://www.mikeholt.com/documents/calculations/formulas/ResidentialLoadCalculations.xls

This is a good one for residential bids, assuming that's what you're looking "fore!" Sorry, that's the best my humor is today...

I'll be glad to help, junkie. I just need 2 things. 1. An e-mail address. 2. A tip to help me shave a few strokes off my game.

Fore left,
Doc

Hi Doc,

1. PM sent.

2. Read Harvey Penick's "Little Red Book" and practice everyday!

Love your salutations at ECN.....they always crack me up.

Ian,

Thanks for the link. That looks like it would work great for computing residential service size. I filed a copy away for future reference. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it I don't do much residential work. What I'm really looking for is a spreadsheet set up for doing plan takeoffs for commercial construction.

True Power Physician (AKA Watt Doctor),
Would you please send me a copy of this Spreadsheet, too?

Send to me as Excel 97 type .XLS file at this address:

adst at pacbell dot net

TIA!!!

Scott35 S.E.T.

p.s. Please use this as the subject:

"Excel Spreadsheets-Per ECN Post" (without the ((")) Quotes, of course).

This will keep the message from going into the trash. Afterwards, I'll log your E-mail address and set filters to your address, so no further subject scripting will be necessary.

Hey Watt Doctor,

I am a small electrical contractor in Mesa, AZ. I am very interested in some sort of job costing formula in excel as well.

I am currently using spiral notebooks to keep track of labor and material for each individual job.

Keeping an exact labor and material account of each job really helps when it comes time to bid a similar job in the future.

My e-mail is: straightedgeelectric@yahoo.com

Thank You,

Tev

'Edge,
I sent an e-mail to you. Let me know.

Scott35, junkie, others,
If you get a chance. Hit me with an e-mail. I'm interest to know how it's going so far. Does it make sense?

I may need a muligan,
Doc
