Hi all,

Well, this time of year I'm busy bidding again. I'm looking for Excel spreadsheets (freeware) that you might have and be willing to share.

I did get one last year from WattDoctor, but I've lost the file. Doc if you would be so kind I'd like to look at that one again.

Anything that you have that helps your bid process.....I'm interested in hearing about it.

I'm also looking at one spreadsheet called Electrimate ($99). If anyone is using it, I'm interested what you think of it.

Thanks for the link. That looks like it would work great for computing residential service size. I filed a copy away for future reference. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it I don't do much residential work. What I'm really looking for is a spreadsheet set up for doing plan takeoffs for commercial construction.

Hey Watt Doctor,

I am a small electrical contractor in Mesa, AZ. I am very interested in some sort of job costing formula in excel as well.

I am currently using spiral notebooks to keep track of labor and material for each individual job.

Keeping an exact labor and material account of each job really helps when it comes time to bid a similar job in the future.
