To post in other Forums such as Technical Referance Area do we have to sign up again?

I tried to post is the above mentioned forum and was told my signin name was not registered?

The technical reference area has restricted access. If you look just above the topic list there you'll see the following:

Quote
New Topics: Only authorized users may post new topics in this forum.
Replies: Only authorized users may post replies to topics in this forum.

Areas such as general, NEC, non-U.S. etc. are open for all users to post replies and new topics.

CDN,

To elaborate a bit more on what Paul said, if you have something to post in that Reference area you can confer with Scott35 (or Pauluk).

If you would like to comment on something in the Reference area you can start a Thread (if none exists or is listed) in the Theory and Applications area and mention (or add a Link to) the specific Item being discussed.

For Example, look at this thread: https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/Forum7/HTML/000195.html

I was just getting ready to post what Bill posted!!! [Linked Image] He beat me to it!

Anyhow, CDN, feel free to start a new thread (discussion / new topic) in either the general Discussion area (this area), the Non-US applications area, the NEC area, or the Electrical Theory area. Which ever area relates to your topic.

Also, like Bill mentioned, link or paste references from the Tech. section.

The access restrictions are applied to that area and (possibly) the Photos Submitted For Discussion area only.

Alternately, if you wish to contribute something for posting in the Tech. Reference area, just send it on over to either myself, paul, or bill via E-mail. Please include your name and/or ECN "Handle" (Member's Name), along with some descriptions of what's being sent.
