We used to obtain pocket notepads from local electrical distributors. These had blank pages, as well as 16 month calendar and a bunch of electrical calculations & NEC tables. Perfect for keeping in your shirt pocket.

All of our local distributors quit providing these.

Anyone have a source for these? I would even entertain purchasing one or two dozen if they are cheap enough!

I quit using notepads when I got my blackberry. Have you thought about going paperless?

I remember these, and have often wondered the same thing.
So far I've come up with nothing on the internet.

They used to be perfect for making sketches in the field.

Are any of the high tech phones capable of making sketches?
(My cellphone doesn't even have a camera )

I remember the notepads, but haven't seen them in years.

I think you can sketch on many of the newtablets, like ipad mini, the Google tabs,perhaps even an iphone.

My wife's samsung note 2 has a cool feature. There is a stylus in the side and when you pull it out the phone goes into tablet mode, allowing you to draw pictures or scribble a note. Then you can save it or send it to someone as a picture file.

This is bigger than the average phone so you have enough screen to be useful. It also does all of the other smart phone stuff.

I have this app called Evernote where you can take a picture then draw on the pic. You can save it, email it, what ever with it. Pretty slick for remodel work

Another app called Task PRO. You can make lists and on each item, you can do a sub list. Each item can be a sub list and so on. You can edit each item or delete it by checking it. You can prioritize each item if you choose and schedule them by date and time

Years ago when I was still in the field, we use to go up to the guys with the Spackle tape and take a piece of their tape. We would then fold it up several times until it fit nicely in our pocket or wallet. Then we would write our material list or anything else we needed. This way we always had a note pad on us at all times. We called it the "poor man's" note book.
