Alan:
thanks for te link!
Along the same note, over here (NJ) during a t'storm Tuesday lightning struck a home, and ignited a small fire in the attic/roof area. A gentleman walking to his house stopped to watch the firefighters, and he was struck & killed by a second strike! News article said it may have had something to do with the metal brace on his leg, pending autopsy results.

John,

I have several crazy lightning stories that I have seen. It would take some time to explain how/why they happened. Like the time a lightning bolt hit the side of the house, put a hole in the siding, and hit an old shot gun laying in the closet behind the siding. Nothing else was hit on this occasion.

I assume the parts that almost look like film grain are cloud to cloud discharges?
