Just wanted to take a moment to thank my past and present brothers and siters in arms for your service. I also want to remind everyone no matter what your political beliefs you have, we all owe our vets some gratitude for their service. Remember, its not the soldiers who make policy, they are just doing their job.

I second your thoughts, with ANZAC (Australian/New Zealand Army Corps) Day not far behind us over here, it is time to reflect on those that gave up so much, without option during WW's I and II, Korean and Vietnam Wars.

One thing I do have to admit to is, at the Dawn Parade here at 6am on ANZAC Day,the Last Call on the bugle always brings a tear to my eye, my late Grandfather served in Italy in WWII, he told me some very shocking stories of what he saw and went through.

I agree that this thread should honour the soldiers and not become a political thing.

I wholeheartedly agree with you guys. We all owe our past and present service men and women a huge debt. There is not enough thanks in the world for these individuals. These are without a doubt the most un-selfish people in the world, without them the world would be a very different place. I wish I could buy them all a beer, they deserve alot more!

Some view today as BBQue, beach, etc. day, like all the other holidays during the nice weather, and forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Remember those who served, and those who are serving.

Since we are reading this in English & not German or Japanese, we have many Vets who gave their all for us to have that privilege.Plus those before the WW II vets & those who came after all deserve our gratitude too.
