Hello from Colorado!!!
Whoops. Hello from South Dakota!!!

Well it has been a while since the last time I made a post. It must have been because now I live in a whole new state. (and state of mind)

Here is my problem:
I have been trying to create a take-off sheet for field counts on the job site.
I want to have all of the blueprint symbols for electrical devices and opening running down the left side of the page, a place to write the individual room name at the top of each column, and totals at the right. All on grid paper.

So far I have ben unsuccesful in finding the symbols in a font or pasteable picture that can be inserted into a document. I did try and draw all of the symbols in a paint program, but had troubles trying to paste the pics into the grid lines at the right size.
If anyone can help find a font that has the symbols or help with my sheet, I would really appriciate it.

It is the best idea I can come up with for field take-offs, but if anyone else has a better idea, I'm all ears! "The better the paperwork; The more money saved and made!"

Thanks alot,
Jon

Ps. It sure is good to be back on ECN!

Jon,

I can add a Stand-Alone Symbols Library in the Technical Reference section, composed of commonly used Symbols.

They can only be Graphics [Don't have an ATM / Font MAnager app'], so the file format will be .GIF type. These will be on a single page, unless multiple pages are needed.
Download page[s], then copy/paste graphics as needed.

I'll add these later tonight. Check the Technical Reference section to find them. I'll add a link in this thread when they are available.
May post new thread in this section too...???

.......Time passes....... [quoted from Virgil [Linked Image]...]

Have a very basic set of Symbols posted in the Technical Reference section under the topic
Basic Planset Symbols-1
This link takes you directly to the page, without going to the "Menu".

Also, this list is basic. Plan to add more in future.

Hello from South Dakota!!!!

Thank you for the symbols. I will try to size them into my document. I will let you know how it works, and I will send you the finished product if anyone is interested in using it.

Virgil, thank you for the welcome back. It has been a while, and I feel as though I have "come Home"!

go-go, I tried to find the site you were talking about, but I can't find the downloadable list. I will keep looking.
