Compression fittings vs set screw EMT fittings
Is there any advantage to set screw fittings over compression fittings?
Are set screw fittings significantly less time consuming?

Tightening one to four set screws is quicker then making a comp fitting 'wrench tight'; therefore yes, less time consuming installation.

Advantages? both are approved connectior/fittings; some 'say' the compression provide a 'better mechanical fault path'. Compression(aka 'raintite') have a purpose.

Compression fittings give 360° grounding, and are better for EMI in sensitive (or electromagnetically noisy) environments.

Screw-set are significantly less time consuming, and just as good for most applications. A lot cheaper, too.
