The only source I have found is the IESNA website where I can buy the 1000 page handbook for $500US. Probably a useful tool for a lighting designer which I am not.

Pretty pricy for someone who just wants to know how many foot candles for a few types of commercial occupancy. I will check the local librarys but are these or other standards available. Are there other organizations that have widely accepted lighting illumination standards?

As far I know some of the lighting manufacter catalog book do list the footcandle levels depending on the area it will lit and somecase it will have a example how to do the figures to plot out the numbers of luminaries you will need to be set up.

I have old GE lighting catalog book however it is written in French but I do belive there is a engish verison out there somewhere and I am sure one of the members here may have something on hand maybe they can chime in also.
