Folks,

The website is going to be changing servers again and the Forum software will upgraded at the same time. I expect to start this sometime tomorrow morning (EST) and the Forum will likely be down all day. Hopefully it will be back online by tomorrow night.

Note that the chat area will be unaffected during this period.

OKAY - it looks like we're open for Business!!

We're on a new server now (all old links should work again soon) and the Forum software has been upgraded.

There's a lot of new features here. I look forward to your comments.

Please let me know of any problems.

Enjoy!
Bill

If anyone tried to post recently and got an error - oops !! sorry about that.

I'm still tweaking and sometimes I probably shouldn't ... eek

FYI, we've moved from a Windows Server to a Linux Server. This means that urls (links) are now case-sensitive.

If you find any links that don't work please let me know so I can fix them.

If you are signed up for email notifications - or request password, etc. and don't get it please let me know.

I think I just fixed a problem with forum email settings that may have been affecting things for the last month or so.

Found a New Feature ...

Q. What is a Spoiler Tag?

A place to hide Words! (Click the 'Spoiler Tag' [Linked Image] when making a post and put the hidden words between the 2 Tags)

I've added some new styles which will personalize the way the Forum looks to you. These can be selected through your 'My Stuff' preferences, or from the dropdown menu on the bottom of every page.

What's your Favorite?

New Styles Added:

In case you haven't already seen theme, these are the other choices besides the Default:

P.S Let me know if you spot any problems with these styles or have suggestions for improving them.

To try the 'Shout Box' just type something in and click 'shout'

It is an area to hold 'temporary' messages. It holds a set amount of messages (you can scroll up to see the older ones) and the oldest gets deleted as a new one is entered.

Smilies and Graemlins can also be used.

Enjoy

The title of the forum main page has "Please log in." even after I login.

Is there a setting to change that will not require me to click on the page before I can scroll with my mouse wheel?
This happens on every page on this forum.

tkb,

Don't the wheelmice say you have to do that first anyway?

Don't have to on any other website but here.
Didn't have to on this site until recently.

Sorry, I don't know what is going on with that. If I find any answers I'll let you know, or if it's a Bug in the software maybe they'll fix it for the next release.

Didn't someone else mention something about scroll bars or arrows? If I can get a good description of what changed I'll ask if there is any remedy.

Umm, are you asked to carry a 1000lb weight?
Most wheel-mice work like this, so does mine.

Thanks. It's not a big deal. I was just wondering since this site is not acting like the others that I go to.
I was just trying to see if it was me or the site.
I happens to be the site since it acts the same on multiple computers.
