Taking Texas home inspectors exam soon. Question: A home built @ 1955 was more likely to have which type of elect wiring: tin-alum, nickel-alum, copper clad alum, or just plain alum??

My guess would be:

None of the above.

In the 50s, nickle coated copper was popular, but aluminum branch circuit conductors were used briefly in the late 60s to early 70s.

As far as SE, I dunno!

This, of course, Is my humble and probably totally misinformed opinion!
