Check out this link of earth @ night from the
shuttle
I see that light you hooked up last week was flickering!
And I thought flying into Chicago at night was impressive...
Looking over England I can even make out the blob of light that is Norwich, my nearest large city.
Yes ma'am, we do fix lights. Now where did you say yours was?
sparky you haven't changed them burnt out bulbs yet? especially those 15 watt ones.
LOL!
Cool, Sparky.
I'm in that ridiculously large blob of white that seems to extend from San Diego to Santa Barbara. The one with all the "rules" so that we don't ruin our environment.
LOL! hey , what's with Canada?,they seem rather conservative....
I'm in that other huge blob that extends from Maine to Virginia. It looks like Europe and the U.S. are the most lit up places on earth. But of all the places on the map, I think the Nile in Egypt looks the coolest.
Nice wallpaper for a lightman. Thanx Sparky. Your right Paul, nothin' like flying into Chi-Town, HPS for days. If y'all ever plan a visit to Orlando, try to schedule it around a shuttle launch. There's no more awe inspiring thing on earth. Worked in
Titusville, Fl. today, saw the launch tower this morning.
Look for North Korea and compare it to South Korea.
Not a whole lot of lights in North Korea.
It's real pretty.... But doesn't it show rather vividly just how much energy we're wasting lighting up the sky?
yes, no question of who's a tad wasteful...
Yup, America is in for a rude awakening when the next energy crisis hits.
Must be time lapse, the sun should have up some where, shouldn't it. all those lights don't burn at once. I never new Magagascar didn't have lights, go figure. Maybe the energy crisis hit there already. Or the last one up turns the whole island off, man what a switch that must be to throw.
If every light were protected by an AFCI, the world would be a safer place...
Holy Smokes! I must've left every light on in Japan!
Some orginizations see us as
Polluters ! interesting that they include
thier choice of
Lighting [This message has been edited by sparky (edited 05-13-2002).]
That's one heck of a wide angle lens!! And it's amazing how they took that picture during a total eclipse of the sun.
