Basement with drop ceiling.

18 recess,(2 eyeballs) 5 mini recess, 20 plugs, 10 single pole switches, 1 piped plug. 1 bath room.

2, 20 amp circuits,
3, 15 amp circuits

(not sure of sq. footage, 700 maybe) Also need to remember you need to use remod cans in a drop ceiling

Cost of materials is around $950.00

Just curious, if anyone wanted to say what they would charge.

About $2900 or so.I also included a bathroom vent fan. One thing though, I would never use remodel cans in a drop ceiling, I would use new construction. Some come with multi purpose hanger bars that have slots to fit over the grid. Otherwise I would replace the bars with the Caddy brand bars that would secure the lights to the grid. If you put a remodel can in, in a few years the weight of the can will cause the ceiling tile to sag.

Thanks for posting that Scott. I was just talking with a co-worker about what kind of cans to use for that drop ceiling.

I'm going to have to look into the multi-purpose hanger bars your talking about. I never really noticed if Halo brand has them or not.

And thanks guys for the prices. I'm still a young electrician, and I'm using a price sheet handed down to me from my uncle. The price I calculated was $2170.00, So atleast I know this price sheet will get me in the ballpark.

Like always ... Great Website.
