Here's an ingenious english translation of the Vienna subway map. Some of the translations are... well, very literal I guess.

The PNG format doesn't seem to be supported by the ECN software, so I've changed the address to a direct link. (If you get a "Not aurhorized" error first time, try refresh.)

I guess this shows how things lose something in a literal translation! I see there's a Seven Shepherds station. London has an Underground station named Seven Sisters.

Weird, my browser (Netscape 4.8 Macintosh) showed it perfectly after I posted it.
Some of the names are based upon already pretty creative interpretations of the original name, for example "No Crane". Actually it's Kagran, "Ka Kran" would be Viennese dialect for No Crane.
There's a French translation available as well, but it isn't nearly as funny.
