Can anyone tell me how commercial buildings can best be audited for load and complience? I help out at theatre in eastern Ontario which is 30 years old. We want to expand and 30 years of add-ons and old technology have left us with no easy capacity from ou transformer room/service feed.

Current panels are full, including eletric heat and large lighting loads. We also want to identify any areas that should be updated from a safety point of view.

Should we contact an architect, electrician or inspector? Could/would Hydro do this?

Any ideas or experience would be great.

An electrical engineer would be your best bet.
