Is the Service Load Calculated at 125% for a single family dwelling?

Can I use 65% of the nameplate rating for a heat pump system?

2. No, but you might be able to use 65% of the supplemental electric heat.

Check out example D2(c) in Annex D for an example (2005 NEC)
