Can the dryer exhasut fan exhaust into the crawl space with proper venting? Or it has to vent into open space.
I would say outside to open space because i have been under the house(crawl space) while the dryer was on and it seems to be humid.Which inturn humidity might create mold.

Am i not correct?

Edward

Thanks
Edward

In the 2000 IRC (which we are still under here) M1501.1 says Clothes Dryer Exhaust: "Dryer exhaust systems shall be independent of all other systems, shall convey the moisture to the outdoors and shall terminate on the outside of the building"

In our area, the vent permanently installed must be smooth wall galvanized sheet metal not over, as I remember, 15 feet long. The connection to the dryer must be metallic flexible duct. Improper Dryer venting causes lots of fires.
