This sort of accident(for want of a better term) could EASILY have been prevented.
My work as a Liney, would suggest that those lines SHOULD have been sleeved considering that there was a real danger of a beam contacting the passing wires.
Over here, we actaully perform this service for FREE, as in, we don't want our Lines damaged either, but I would be more than happy to go out and sleeve some lines, no matter what voltage they were, rather than have to go and investigate one of these shock incidents, as I have had to do in the past with Excavators and Cranes hitting the wires.
People should just take more care around Over-Head Lines, regardless of what voltage they carry.
