Before the recent Forum changes there was some discussion about problems accessing the forum with FireFox.

Is this still an issue? ... Better .... Worse ...?

Now that we're settled in here (knocking wood...) I'd like try to get to the bottom of things if I can.

So far so good here. I haven't had the mystery lock up since the last BB version load.
Glad I have a lot of wood here to knock.
The lock up for me always seemed to be when reloading the "forums" list, actually the next fetch after that.

Hey! I'm jealous....

I'd still be using Win98 if I could.

This is how XP makes me feel >> bash
I've got it on one Computer and my Laptop. The one I use 99% of the time (and prefer) is a Win2k machine.

Bill:
Firefox is the chosen one at UCVT; I have no issues with it the two nites that I teach there. Dell network with Windows XP.

My laptop is Win XP, and with IE via DSL at home, no issues. The 'old' laptop has Win 2000 Pro, and I have no issues with that either.

Win98SE on this machine too, and still running Firefox 1.5.0.4 - No problems at all. I'm thinking about upgrading Firefox, but certainly not Windows. I've had enough trouble with XP et al with a couple of my commercial clients' machines.

I only keep 98SE on this one machine because I sometimes need to test software on it, and it's handy to use this system for general web browsing as well. If it wasn't for that need, I wouldn't use Win-Doze at all.

I've been using Win XP and firefox with no problems for about three years. I'm trying my best to stay away from Vista until they get it stable. I have an old machine with 98SE but is slow as Methulesah and I don't use it for much of anything.

If you put W/98 on a new machine it really goes fast.
I am running on a AMD 64 3700+ with a gig of memory. The only time I really use the CPU speed is compiling multimedia files.
Otherwise it is virtually instant on everything else.
