I'd like to find some kind of electrical preventative maintenance checklist. I've searched the internet without any luck. I work for local government and we have over 200 buildings. Does anyone know where I could find this information online?

Thank you,
Frank

I suspect, Frank, that if you outline what you're looking for ( and where you need it ), the best available checklist would be put together here on this site!

There is, in my experience, no substitute for hands-on, grass-roots, no-nonsense technicians for providing the ultimate insight into how to/not to treat an installation/machine/etc. Better than any desk-crony or theoreticist!! [Linked Image]

From what I've seen of the people on this site, you could not find a more knowledgable, candid and amenable group of experts! [Linked Image]

Does that help??

Here is one link that I found, www.mun.ca/facman/appa/electrical.html. In order to do effective PM on electrical equipment you will need to have the appropriate training and equipment to work on it live and may need some sophisticated equipment, IR scanners ain't cheap. I would suggest using a local or area contractor that specialises in the IR scanning end of things.

One publication used by government operations is NETA 2001 Maintenance Testing Standards, obtainable at www.netaworld.org/Category.cfm?CategoryID=26
