It seems that some mail coming from our servers are being blocked by AOL and Comcast.

We'll look into the problem, but just wanted to let anyone using those email accounts know that they may not be getting all of their mail.

If the user has your address in their address book the mail will get through (AOL). It is all part of the spam filtering. I am not really sure the spam filter works that well since I get about 100 a day

Only a Hundred? I'll trade you any day.
Actually AOL is giving some 554 error, which they define as follows:

"This error message indicates that your email has been identified as coming from a server or web site that may have a compromised script or program available." confused

I think Comcast is fixed now.

Bill, I'm on AOL and I don't show anything in my spam or new mail folders from anyone on ECN... Did I miss something?

Randy,

No, nothing was sent to you. I've just noticed a lot of emails coming back lately like Forum Registration, Lost Password, order confirmations ... etc.

I'm used seeing to the 'unknown user' or 'unknown host' emails. You'd be surprised how many people either don't know their own email address or misspell their ISP. These are emails that AOL has refused to deliver.

If you do a Google search for 'AOL Blocking Email' you'll see there's a lot of complaints against them for things like this.

FYI,

It seems we're having a problem again getting emails through to Comcast subscribers. I spotted 15 in my trash from the last 3 days. mad

Last month Comcast finally dropped the last straw on my back and I set their modem on the curb. AOL is next.
