We are going to try using Belden 29503 drive cable to solve a EMI/RFI problem we have been posting about for the last couple of months. The runs are about 100' from drives to motors interupted by disconnects at around 80". What effect if any, will sectioning and terminating the cable in the disconnects and continueing on to the motors have on the shielding/dampening properties?

Check with the drive and motor manufacturers.
On some 1336 Rockwell VFD's they had us ground the shield on both ends along with some very specific cable type requirements.
