I was looking for an article on the maximum installation height of the main breaker in a residential load center. The main in this case isn't required as there is an outdoor disconnect and the panel in question is indoors. I am still periously close to what I thought I remembered as a six foot seven inch max height of center of switch in up position, although this one operates side to side anyway. Can someone help me with a code number on this.

I found it in the 1996 NEC in art 380-8(a) but can't find where they hid it in the current code. I'll be darned if I can find where they put it.

Me and you both Dave. It's bad when you know it's there somewhere but you can't find it.
