Can any of you help me with locating a code(I thought I saw it and can't remember where) that prohibits ridged conduit from eva to eve between to detached buildings

If the length of the rigid between the supports is less than ten feet it is legal.

This is the max span between supports
1/2–1" 3ft
11/4–2" 5ft
21/2–3" 6ft
31/2–5" 7ft
6" 8ft

The span table is from NEC 352.30 (B) the next section list expansion fittings 352.44 NEC which may be required for this installation.
Being in California it might be recommended to use a flexible raceway between buildings.
