Hi,

1) How do I determine minimum distance a water heater must be from an existing electrical meter installed in a commercial retail space?

2) Same as above but Main Panel?

Is more information necessary?

(edited to add the following)
3) I am also interested in knowing what minimum distances are required on either side for both service panels and meters?

--Is this just based upon manufacturer recommendations?

Thanks,
--Mario

The only issues I see are working space in front of the panel and "foreign systems" above the panel.

The placement of the meter must also comply with the requirements of the utility companies. There is typically a distance specified between the gas meter (which I'd infer applies to an appliance as well) and any electrical switch/breaker/etc.....assuming that the water heater is gas, that is.
