Hi,
Does article 410.13 require a space or non combustible material between the housing of the recessed fixture and the joist?

Can you use sheetmetal or sheetrock screws to attach a recessed can to a joist or wood framing member or do they not have to be wood screws?

Thanks for any replies.

-regards

Mustang

Hi, I would have to say no on the space deal, and most of the time I just use the little barbs that are attached to the light it self. or just throw a staple in to hole it up.
