Almost enough to make me want to move to Utah or IL. But, alas you don't have an ocean.
With my EC hat on, I remember many a time waiting for the AHJ (8:00 to 4:00), only to find out at 3:50 that he didn't show-up in the AM. No, the towns do not 'call'.
With my AHJ hat on, I give 'ballpark times', as I said above, and yes, I call the EC's for 'problems', or if I can't make it. (As long as I have a # to get them)
Alas, the world is not a perfect place, here on the east coast; but life goes on.
