Inspectors: Do you allow any other type of ground clamp, other than an acorn type, on pool rebar bonding? Somewhere I read that the standard clamp is not rated to be encased in concrete. What say ya?

If the clamp is marked "Direct Burial" it is suitable for being encased in concrete Some water pipe type clamps are marked for direct burial, but would not be suitable for this application.

Some manufacturers, such as Greaves, offer connectors other than the acorn type which are suitable for re-bar connections in concrete.

I don't think acorn connectors are approved for rebar grounding.
