wiring in "return air" plenum

Can anyone refresh me as to the wiring method in a "fresh air" plenum?? The heat/ac man is using a void space as part of the "air return". I don't have the exact code reference right now. Thanks for the input... Steve

I think the most important question at this point to ask is: is this residential or commercial?

300.22 addresses plenums
