Incensed
\In*censed"\, a. 1. Angered; enraged.
2. (Her.) Represented as enraged, as any wild creature depicted with fire issuing from mouth and eyes. I was not happy when I heard a "NEW" CMP 18 NEC Chairman say that he was "Incensed" by a Proposal that was submitted to try to get a new receptacle fire guard product into the code! I never ever heard anything like this take place in a Public Forum. PS: He also had something to say about two people, one being the Moderator of this board, who sent in too many proposals to CMP 18! Joe,
Can you please expand on needing help? I may have missed something in the past so I didn't fully understand.

I'm "INCENSED " by this A-holes statement. It would be nice to bombard him with e-mails ! Make him feel like one of the Dixie Chicks.

120 pages of documentation is "too much"??? Hey...next time I'll betcha he'll want you boil it down to once sentence and send it in on a post-paid 3x5 postcard...that way he can read it in his car, while he's driving and yapping on the cellphone at the same time. I always thought NEC meetings were all about how to constantly improve safety....

If I needed support, I need it now "sparky" do you get the message!! Lemme see..... we've manufacturers that can apparently inundate the ROP process, even send there own reps to sit on the CMP's..... we've a substaintiation process that does not include (to my knowledge) any audits, checks or balances of federal stature.... we've a trade media (read> all the mags you get free) with full page ads of the latest widgets and articles by makers of the same.... we've individual states creating thier own code addundums based on the hyperbole.... uhmmmmmm, exactly how is it we can help here Joe??

You are so right! I was only concerned about the attitude he presented and really would like to see this type of remark stopped!
I think that proposals should be given to the members of the panel's without any names, it's all the better then with safety in mind.

An unbiased assessment of the safety aspects ?? i can't argue with that Joe.... ok, this Firefighter Products, Inc. guy, i swear he posted here before (we probably sent him off cryin' too...) with his thermally protected receptacles how would you equate this concept to European methods? that, IMHO, would be less biased, less isolationist, less unilateral per se'....
