I know we've been here before...
Exactly what taps are being referred to in Table 210.14. that are allowed to tap #14 to a 20 amp ckt? Fixture taps?

The question came up about running a 20 amp ckt. for DW/GD and running 2 #14-2s to the loads.

I don't go for it.

I think that you are referring to Table 210.24. The only applications that I know of are in the exception to 210.19(A)(4). It appears that if you hardwired the dishwasher and the garbage disposal, and the combined loads did not exceed 20 amps and the #14 tap conductors did not exceed 18", that the installation would be code compliant.

Thanks, Don. I think I'd skip this attempt at saving about $.03.
sparky, Don was right, I meant table 210.24.
