What do you mean by "only the secondary is fused when the primary is fed with 12kv." I thought only the primaries were fused in local distribution systems. I am interested in when, if ever, PoCo secondaries are fused.

You are absolultely correct, I meant primary, but my fingers are much slower than how I was thinking and I meant to say primarys are fused. Sorry my bad, but you got my point.
As far as I am concerned Electrical Safty, to me anyway, is paramount and all important.
Earlier on in my career I was nearby and Electrical Explosion and was cornered by a wall of fire, we were merely observing but it made such an impact on me, aside from singeed eyebrows and hair everyone was ok, scared as H***, that if I can turn a circuit off I do it.
