Can someone tell me how many watts 18/2 fixture wire is good for? I thought it was in the Code, but can't find it. I'm rewiring a light fixture. The wires were burnt bad and the customer wants it rewired; can't find one like it. Thanks Steve...

I believe it's Article 406 of the NEC that discusses fixture wire...and, if my memory is correct, #18 is good for 6 amps.
