His name: ElectricAL
Found him at this site! A wonderful, smart local fellow ECN'er who took the time to give me guidance and direction when I didn't have a clue how to get into the trade. I am now approaching my third year of apprenticeship. I cant say it enough: Thank you Al! I owe you bigtime!

PS - I got a couple union questions for you now... J

Thanks for the comments guys.
In all honesty, I have to thank my own father for giving me the "electrical bug", he is the one that used to muck around with Valve TV's and Radio's.
I've been soldering and building things since I was 7 years old.
Had it not been for him alone, I would be on some "Middle Management" Board instead, or even worse, "Menial Labour".
Please keep the comments coming, no-one is too big here to mention who influenced them. [Linked Image]

I would have to say the biggest influence on me so far has been the fellow boardmembers of this site.

Being an apprentice I have worked with countless JW's up to this point and will continue to do so, I'm sure. And even though I'm an apprentice I can still see who's hearts are in it and who's here for a paycheck. Sometime's on the job it seems people don't want to go the extra mile to excel. A lot of them just don't seem to care.

So I come here and find that if you post a question, you have many boardmembers ready to answer, without hesitation.

So Thanks to the many people of this site who continue to give great information.

Mentor for me: Good 'Ol Dad!!!

Got me interested in the trade + the sciences of Electricity, back when I was in 2nd grade!

Worked with him as far back as summer break between 2nd and 3rd grade!

Crazy thing is, since 1987 or 1988, he comes to me for answers now! [Linked Image]

Have recently taken on a whole bunch of Mentors (including some of you here at ECN - betcha didn't know I was your Protégé'!), but the guy who was my first Mentor, is still the "Guru" in my mind!
