I need a remote dimmer that will work around a corner and was wondering if anyone here has installed one with luck.
The switch for a clients kitchen light is in a useless spot and moving the box is out of the question. I was looking at the Maestro IR but it doesn't look like it would work around the corner of the wall where the current switch location is.
I was thinking one more like a fan remote where the relay mounts in the canopy.
Any suggestions?

..., or the next generation after X-10, Insteon: www.insteon.net .

I've tried them out, and they're really nice.

I recently saw that Leviton's Aspire line was going to go RF with Zwave technology. That might work for you.

The fan remote control should definitely work. I've had to change codes on some because the one in the next apartment was also controlling their fan/light.
Pity you don't live close, I have 2 spares ones somewhere due to an order mixup.

That's the #1 unwritten rule in the world of X-10: never leave your house-code on 'A'.
