Wile on Vacation this year I took a train trip to Texas. In the Dallas Fort Worth area I noticed that on some buildings that the service drop conductors were eather white or gray in color phase and neutral. I thought this was odd to have white or gray conductors. I also saw this arangement on some residential services. My question is why the white or gray conductors? Was this some experiment with new insulation ? Inquiring minds want to know. THANKS HYPRESS
There are some older services around here (San Diego) where they used Grey triplex for the service drops. Over time (notably near the ocean) where the insulation turns white, most were installed in the 70's as near as I can tell. Rod
