sure i will be glad to help ya with " surface mounted can " lumiaire actally there is few diffrent verison of Hi bay lumiaire and it use the decorta cylinder to cover it up. right now i try to think who make it right off the bat but i know there about a dozen company or more do make this

you might try Juno or Haloplane or few other i am not sure what size you want they have from little 5 inch diam can to monster HID cans size big as 22 or 25 inch diam so therefore you may have to dig it around or check with the designer whom make this set up

Merci , Marc

Sounds like a typo to me. Maybe a new engineer/draftsman or somebody who doesn't really know what they want and fer sher don't know what to call it.

Time to pull out that pad of RFI's and start writing.

Or I guess you could just show up with a keyless mounted inside an old 3-lb coffee can just to see what kind of reaction you get.

Sounds like he wants you to screw some remodels thru the top into cieling drywall.

If they want pendant can light then hang them with 1 threaded rod in the center.

If they want a string of can lights put a hook on top to hang them and wire with SO cord.

I allways get those plastic coffee cans. Do you think they will work with a R-20 50 watt bulb?

You might want to ask for more information.

Could it be a surface mounted cylinder?

You know, I think I actually saw something like this today.

I saw recessed lights- the part holding the bulb was recessed into the ceiling as usual....but the trim / baffle assembly projected down into the living area a good 4 or 5 inches.
