I posted this message on another forum and didn't get much response. I thought I'd try here.
I just received the results of a MI Master’s Exam I took Dec. 15, 2005. I was very worried that I had done poorly on the exam. I thought I would probably have to retest. I was very pleased when the state notified me, by mail, that I had gotten a 91% on the test. Yahoo!
I would just like to take a minute and thank my instructor Mike Donnelly (MDEC Training Corporation) out of Troy, MI. Without his class and instruction I do not think I would have passed the Master’s Exam on the first try.
Any other Michiganders out there get their test results and how did you do?

Congratulations.
I took Cossins class for my Journeymans. He was good and I took alot of info from it.
But for my Masters which will be eligible in June, I was planning on taking Donnelly's. I heard its a longer course. A week I think... Cossins is only a weekend.

I took Chuck Cossins class too. But I liked Mike’s class better. I think I learned more. We met every Thursday from 6 pm to 10 pm for about 10 weeks. He is very through and covers a lot of material. In MHO his class is the best. The test is tough but if you study and work and practice the calculations you can pass.
Good luck to you.

Hey Fellas,
I'm an instructor myself. Would you mind telling me what you liked best and felt you really connected with Mr. Donnellys' and Mr. Cossins'classes?
Do you know if they have Websites?
Thanx,
Steve

I did use Cossins online code update class. That was pretty easy.

Mike’s class was specifically set up to prepare his students for the Michigan Masters Exam. He concentrated on the type of problems and NEC information we would have to know for the exam. He gave us tips on how to quickly look up info in the Code book. He is extremely knowledgeable on the NEC. I think he has been teaching classes for approximately 10 years. He was also very helpful to students with NEC questions not related to class discussion; he would usually answer those questions (not always during class discussion but during break). I also saw fellow students who had questions about a job they were working on and Mike would give them his phone number so they could call him if they had any further questions.
He didn’t waste time with a lot of work related war stories he kept everyone focused on the class material. Which is nice when you are paying for a class?
