Put my vote down for DeWalt. I've sung the praises of this brand many times on this BB for their cordless tools.

I will say it again, my dewalt cordless 18V drill/sawzall/flashlight have been throroughly used and abused and just keeps going and going. If and when it quits, I won't hesitate for one second to buy another.

Exactly what Sandro said. I have had ZERO problems with my 18v Dewalt drill in the year and a half that I have owned it, using it frequently.

Just realize, Black & Decker owns DeWalt, Porter-Cable, Delta power tools, and Emglo compressors.

BTW, Milwaukee and Ryobi share the same parent company too.

I had a Rigid 18V cordless drill, and I never had a problem with it (that is until the day it walked from a jobsite, mainly due to my being a dumbass) [Linked Image] It is a bit heavier than a DeWalt, but it has about the same balance feel as a Milwaukee. The torque is good, and the dual charger (in 1/2 hour no less) is a great bonus! And as odd as it sounds, the rubber base on the battery is a nice touch.
