Had a close call like that: Checking voltage in a panel and I didn't notice the home-owner walk up behind me. I heard him ask: "What's this funny shaped part?" And before I could open my mouth he reached past me and poked the energized bus with his finger.

After he recovered I just looked at him and asked: "Do I really need to tell you why you should never to do that again?"
