A few more to add,

Thunderbirds, saw them in black and white in the late 60's.
Now in colour, the reruns on saturday afternoons. That was a series well ahead of it's time.

The Avengers with John Steed and Emma Peel (UK) Thriller.

Tatort An other good German detective thriller.

Oddly enough, one of my avourite films is one that was made for TV: "Purgatory," with Sam Shepard.

Set in the Old West, a fleeing band of bank robbers escapes pursuit, to find refuge in a town called... Refuge. All is not as it seems, though, and the peaceful citizens of Refuge find themselves forced to put their souls in eternal peril. Ending with the ultimate shoot-out... and true love found. Quite a fine film, with superb performances all around.

You'll never look at 'dime novels' the same way again!
