Is it legal to take a 150 amp 30 space 30 circuit panel and install a 100 amp main because of the wire size and use all 30 circuits.

Cutler Hammer lists 125A rated panels with factory 100A mains. Its the CPM116, CPM120, and CPM130 models.

As long as your load calculation does not exceeed 100A

CH has a 30 ckt 100A Panel Classic CH, we use them on our 100A Up grades.

Are you talking about a 150 amp main ckt. breaker panel, or a main lug panel, and installing your own 100 amp Bkr?

thanks guys I am going to use the CH 30 space, I also found that siemens has a 30 space 100 amp panel
