First the shooter in the Lefkow case in Chicago, now the guy who went nuts up in Brookfield (Milwaukee) WI... both identified as "unemployed electricians". Can we expect jokes about "going postal" being changed to "going electrical"? Stay safe (and sane) guys...

Well if its unemployed electricians, maybe they have some openings at the US Postal Service?

Having people alittle scared of ya might not be a bad thing. Especially when it comes to collection

I thought the "Devil went down to Georgia"?. Wasn't that a Charlie Daniels song?.

I feel their pain...
I came an ace of mugging an old man last month just 'cause he was dumb enough to have several grand counted out to him at my bank.
I got as far as waiting in the parking lot to see which vehicle he climbed into...
Desperation will cause people to do things they'd never normally do. Put two best of friends on a deserted island with no food, and when you come back, there will be only one...
Don't believe me? Here's how to gain some perspective: Send me ALL of your money for the next, say 6 months, or whenever you have depleated all of your savings, etc. then, after you've had your power cut off for 9 months, then tell me how good you feel about yourself. Ya can't even afford the very wares you peddle? Awww poor sparky...
Not everyone was born with a copper spoon in their mouth...
/rant off

Virgil, There is no reason for you to starve yourself in an area that won't support you. You have the skills to move to any metro area in the US and live comfortably on a 40 hour week.
Rural areas are tougher but there are opportunities there too.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Sorry, Mike...
My wife is saying the same thing... But it seems only a fool would be optimistic if they were in my shoes... Kinda the "So dumb you're happy if ya can't see the reality" scenario... I digress...
In short... I will never forget the generosity of my brothers and sisters here on this site that helped me in my time of need a few years ago, but alas, I've been so much worse off since then... an ever repeated viscious cycle.
Ironically, I have work, put in a full week last week, but I netted about -$140, all said and done, and I don't have it to lose in the first place.
My rant wasn't directed towards anyone here... (George, you should know this).
It's been a damned long winter...
