You may want to rethink being an electrician in Florida.

Anyone with a Kliens and a screwdriver can be an "electrician" in Florida. All of the licensing is at the contractor level. (A guy you NEVER see on a job)
Right now the quality of most of the residential romex yankers is dismal.
I am sure there are still some companies that hire quality people and do a good job but my wife sure can't find any (she builds houses). She says electricians are guys who are too dumb or too lazy to be a roofer.
Of course these guys only make about $10 an hour for a "lead" guy. Hell they only get a half million for the house, how could they possibly pay more.

Inspectors do 30-40 a day and don't make much money either.
(the mini rant that keeps me retired)
