Hi,
I am trying to fegure out what to charge for setting a temp pole for a builder I am working for. I will be doing a lot of houses for him next year. I am setting up the first one next week.

What is the best way to charge for this?

Install and remove plus monthly rental?

What is the going rate?

Thanks for any replies or comments.

-regards

Greg

Greg,

I just heard a conversation this week. A guy by me sets poles for $600 (includes price of pole).

He also will rent a Pole with a Temp service setup on it for $600/yr.

If we're wiring the house, the pole is free. We just build it into our price.

If someone calls and just wants temp power or if it's a one shot customer. We'll set the pole and pull a permit for the pole for $500-$600. If we get the pole back in good condition, we'll refund $100.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies..I bid most all of the spec residential I do by the square foot so the temp pole is not part of the deal..I guess one more reason not to bid by the sq. ft!

I dont think it is part of the wiring myself..so it shouldbe billable.

Maybe $500 for install and removal and $30 bucks a month rental.

I like the $500-$600 with a $ refund if the pole is in good condition. Temp poles seem to get some abuse on certain sites.

thanks for the info

-regards

Greg
