Sir Arcsalot, Bill Gates's house took 8 YEARS to do. Rich people like that have WAY to much money do the craziest things. The house I'm doing now the owner had the old house leveled, Which was a 8,000 sq ft house and built a 14,000 sq ft house in it's place, just because he had no wall space in it for his art work!!!!! I tell ya I would have moved the old house in pieces if I could, I was there for the demo because I had to dissconnect the old service when the bull dozers showed up, and yes they do have there own 25kva single phase xfomer. That's crazy for a house.

I've done some in the 10K size, and it is now required for us to contact PG&E (our utility) for all service upgrades, and new construction, due to lack of infrastructure to support them. One of these mansions with AC units can dim the neighborhood.

10K sq' sounds like 80+ reccessed cans, every appliance and dual ovens at Christmas, and Thanksgiving. I would calc your load to that! Or summer with all of the AC's on.
